Richard Schwarzchild was born in N.Y. on Nov. 29, 1924 and enlisted in the Army at New York City, N.Y. on Feb. 18, 1943. At the time of his enlistment, he was working as a furrier. Schwarzchild joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. where he was assigned to Company F of the 90th Infantry Regiment.
